4 Workshops and a Month long Course

Here are the details of this weekend's workshops :
1. Sand Painting for 3-8 year olds from 5 P.M to 6 P.M on 14/9/2012
2.Rhymes Talk- A vocaulary Building game for 8-14 year olds from 6 P.M to 7:30 P.M on 14/9/2012
3."Imagine" - A Story telling and drama activity based on "There's a Wocket in my Pocket " by Dr. Seuss for 3-8 year olds on 15/9/2012 from 5 P.M to 6 P.M
4.Learn to make a 3-D Ganesha Wall Hanging for ages 10+ to adult on 15/9/2012- 5 P.M to 6:30 P.M.

Month Long Workshop :
Public Speaking and Debating , starting on 15/9/2012 till 6/10/2012 from 6 P.M To 7:00 P.M every Saturday .

All the activities we did this past year

We have completed a year ! It's been an awesome ride :).

Thanks to all the enthusiastic children who have been participating regularly in all our activities,all our wonderful teachers , superb parents who have been dedicated supporters and who have been ferrying their children from all over the city - Mehdipatnam, Jubilee Hills , DD Colony, Alwal, Medchal , Malaysian Township- just about everywhere - it is humbling to see the dedicated fathers/mothers/grandmothers-getting their children twice a week from such distances to Marredpally for  the activities !
A Big thank you to our administrative staff who have been enthusiastically supporting all our adventures and making the experience smooth and joy filled for the children .

Our Library now has over 11000 books and growing! Our activity centre has completed over 70 unique activities and workshops this past year apart from our 9 regular year long programs.

I've been promising that I'll write a complete blog post on all that we have been doing ( and continue to do) this past year . So here goes.

Year Round Activities:
1. Math Program- 3-9 years -to inculcate strong conceptual skills andto teach visual problem solving strategies

2. Reading Program-
a. Level 1 (3-5 years )- Phonetics -basic reading skills , creating Phonemic
Awareness
b.Level 2 (5-8 years )- Advanced Phonetics-Reading,Spelling, Comprehension and Introduction to Grammar
c.Level 3( 9-16 years )- English Enrichment - Vocabulary , Comprehension, Grammar , Corrective and Remedial Programs, Enrichment Programs ,Creative Writing


3.Handwriting Program-6-15 year olds


4.Chess Classes-Age 6+

5.Drawing Program-Age 6+

6. Toddler Art and Craft Time-Age 2-6 yr

7.Have Fun, Learn ( now christened Mind Gym) -A different game or activity every week to build

We have completed over 50 sessions of  Mind Gym without repeating a SINGLE GAME/Activity EVER !

8.Show and Tell- Age-3-8 years

9.Young Scientist - Age-8-14 years .
Every second Saturday of the month our budding scientists have been engaging in educative and fun science experiments
